M-Edge Accessories, a supplier of e-reader accessories for Kindle and Sony products, has announced the Guardian case for the Amazon Kindle. The new case, which protects while you read, takes away the worry about bringing your Kindle on the boat or for that matter on your inflatable inner tube.

That’s because the new case offers unprecedented water protection. Once your Kindle is enclosed in the case, it will actually float. Not only that, the case will protect your Kindle from the water not just on the surface, but even if it is forcibly submerged up to a meter in depth.

The case is noted for its ability to give reading and water enthusiasts the ability to read just about anywhere, whether it’s on the water, above the water or below the water. Central to the fantastic waterproof specifications is M-Edge’s use of a watertight seal, known as an O-ring, a dual hinge gasket and four latch closures.
