Recreational diving systems and marine safety company, Brownie’s, has obtained the worldwide license to manufacture and sell Nitrox Generation Diving Systems from Undersea Breathing Systems.

Commenting on the agreement was Robert Carmichael, CEO of Brownie’s:, “This fully paid-up, no royalty license agreement will reduce Brownie’s cost of producing Nitrox Systems by more than 50% and makes Brownie’s highly competitive in the global dive industry. Brownie’s is the first and only provider of the latest technological development in Nitrox production system and intends to begin marketing the benefits of the new low-temperature, high efficiency Nitrox Makers systems on a more extensive basis. Our technology is the only Nitrox system totally compatible with the dive-industry standard Bauer Compressor tank fill device.”

The acquisition of the license is expected to further Brownie’s effort to supply a complete line of high quality dive products and services for divers.

The Nitrox Generation Diving System is considered a safer alternative to present day diving systems. One of the main reasons is that the air tank system does not rely on high-pressure oxygen to enrich air, but instead removes nitrogen from the air. This results in a diving system that requires less diver training, permits longer dives and does not present the dangers that present day pressurized-oxygen based diving systems have. Other benefits of the de-ntirogenated air system (Nitrox) include the elimination of post dive fatigue, the elimination of O2 tank cleaning and easy maintenance. Additionally, because the system does not require oxygen it is less expensive to fill air tanks. These features are expected to appeal to those who ordinarily would not consider diving, experienced divers and dive operators.
